Here's a great resource for players of stringed instruments. Enjoy!
My style is all over the musical map, but to sum up you could say that I play rock-fusion-psychedelic-funk-down-home-jam music. As you can guess, my influences are equally diverse. To name a few in no particular order: Metheny, Page, Garcia, Lifeson, Carlton, Walsh, Hackett, Segovia, Anastasio, Gilmour, McLaughlin, Goodsall, Montgomery, Zappa.....
Mostly self-taught, I first learned by ear and was heavily influenced by Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson and David Gilmour. I learned music theory in college, and took a few private lessons for technique and perspective. Then came Jerry Garcia and Trey Anastasio, who taught me how to use my developed improv-oriented ear to applied theory. I taught beginning guitar during college and have written many original compositions.
I am currently playing in the rock/funk band Zindu and the groove-rock project Remember To Forget.
This page contains links to all kinds of info, plus a few of my own personal words of wisdom....And remember to practice today!
